Travel insurance

There are many unforeseen circumstances that may force you to cancel or terminate your trip, while unprovoked inconveniences and even a common accident can ruin the travel experience to you, your family and fellow-travellers. Such situations are difficult to predict, but you can influence their outcome by contracting a travel insurance package.

Travel insurance packages consist of one or more insurances:
  • Health insurance with accident insurance
  • Luggage insurance
  • Travel cancellation insurance

Health insurance

Basic health insurance includes the following services and covers:
  • costs of necessary medical treatments
  • costs of medicines and medical accessories proscribed by doctors – necessary medical aids and walking tools proscribed by doctors
  • necessary medical aids and walking aids prescribed by doctors
  • clinical treatment by scientifically acknowledged methods
  • costs of transportation by acknowledged emergency services for purpose of reception in a hospital or to the nearest available doctor
  • costs of transferal to a specialized clinic if it is necessary and proscribed by a doctor
  • costs of operation
  • costs of repatriation of insured person and other services in keeping with insurance conditions, up to the contracted insurance value
  • dental treatment intended to relieve the insured person from acute toothache.

Personal accident insurance covers all unforeseen events the consequences of which caused the occurrence of insured case: accident resulting in death and permanent disability.

Sum insured are:
  • for health insurance 11.500 EUR,
How to act in case of insured event? In case of emergency due to illness or accident please call SOS line with 24-hour duty. The Centre will contact the co-ordinator for the area in which you are located and organize the necessary level of health care in shortest possible period.

Luggage insurance

The insurance covers loss of, damage to or destruction of luggage, both hand-carried and checked, during travel to and from, as well as stay in the place of destination. Sum insured is 500 EUR.

The insurance covers loss of, damage to or destruction of luggage due to:
  • criminal act of a third party (e.g. theft, robbery),
  • accident of a conveyance (e.g. traffic accident),
  • fire and natural disasters.

The insurance also covers transportation delays and loss of luggage handed over to the carrier. The Insurer shall cover the costs of purchase of new luggage (strictly necessary clothes and basic toiletries) up to a maximum of EUR 250 in the case that personal luggage that has been handed over to the carrier for the purpose of transportation does not reach the same day as the Insured the destination outside the place of residence or stay during travel because of delay in transportation.

Insurance can be arranged only with Health Insurance!

How to act in case of insured event?
In case of loss or damage sustained as a result of a criminal act of a third party, report to a competent or nearest police station. Losses of and/or damages to checked luggage must be notified without delay to the carrier.

Travel cancellation insurance

Allianz shall pay 90% of the amount charged to the Insured by the travel agency in accordance with the provisions concerning cancellation which are contained in the terms and conditions of the travel agreement. The Insurer shall indemnify the costs of travel cancellation if the trip in question has been cancelled because of any of the following events affecting the Insured him/herself or any risk person:
  • death
  • sudden acute illness which requires an urgent medical care;
  • accident involving a severe bodily injury; 19
  • pregnancy disorders;
  • intolerance of vaccination which the Insured was obliged to take according to valid legal regulations of the country of destination;
  • losses of and/or damages to property caused by fire, natural disaster or delib¬erate criminal act of a third party;
  • military exercise.

Risk persons within the meaning of these Terms and Conditions are: spouse or co-resident common-law spouse, children, parents, siblings and grandparents only in the case of occurrence of death.

In case of trip cancellation, please:
  • within 3 working days cancel the trip at the travel agency or transport provider,
  • within 30 days submit a claim notification to the Allianz.
